Committed Cook for Sötåsen

With the aim - We develop world-class skills for a sustainable future and a good life, the Nature Management Administration drives education within youth high school, adapted high school, adult education, and vocational college. The Nature Schools Axevalla Horse Center, Svenljunga, Sötåsen, Uddetorp, and the Biological Vocational College serve as competence centers for the growth and development of the green industries. Together with businesses and researchers, the administration drives energy projects and experimental activities at the forefront in the schools. The Nature Management Administration is part of the Västra Götaland Region.

We are now looking for a committed, goal-oriented, and service-minded cook for our meal operations!

Sötåsen has a school restaurant that serves about 200 lunches a day. Many of our students live in the school dormitory and are therefore also served breakfast and dinner. In the school restaurant, we also have our café sales of morning and afternoon snacks. The school kitchen is KRAV-certified, and we work purposefully to create climate-adapted meals. The goal is to serve appealing, nutritious, and sustainable meals made from scratch with a large proportion of self-produced food from the school farm.

Job Responsibilities

The tasks are located in the school restaurant with usual duties such as preparation and serving of school meals, dishwashing, cleaning, and self-control. You will be involved in all tasks that occur in the work team.

Qualifications

You have a high school education in restaurant and catering/restaurant and food, as well as experience in the profession. Experience in food hygiene, self-control, and special diets is a requirement.

We are looking for a committed, goal-oriented, and service-minded person who enjoys working in a team. You have good collaboration skills and thrive in a work team. You have high flexibility and enjoy solving tasks together with others in a team. You also have a good ability to take initiative to solve problems that may arise. You have a strong service mindset with the guest in focus, enjoy meeting people, and have the desire to help develop the work team and operations.

You have an interest in working with young people and want to ensure that everyone feels comfortable and well at school. Our goal is to support students in their learning by contributing to healthy eating habits. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Conditions

A position, temporary until 30/9 with a chance of extension, 100% employment rate. Working hours are scheduled for day and evening.
